HighTech Fabrication designs and fabricates industrial and commercial walkway systems for plants, factories, warehouses, rooftop plant rooms, mezzanine levels, marine pontoons, and elevated service platforms across the UAE. Our walkway systems provide safe, reliable pedestrian access to elevated or restricted areas, allowing maintenance personnel, operators, and inspectors to carry out their duties efficiently and safely — in compliance with UAE Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Walkway structures are fabricated from structural steel (RHS, SHS, and channel sections) using full-penetration welded construction for maximum joint strength. Flooring is typically open-bar grating (stainless steel GI or galvanised mild steel) in a range of bar spacings and depths to achieve the required anti-slip performance and structural load rating. All walkways include integrated handrail and toe board systems designed to UAE safety standards, and are hot-dip galvanised or epoxy-painted for corrosion protection appropriate to the installation environment.

Walkway System Components

  • Primary structural beams and columns — sized by structural calculation for the specified live load and span
  • Secondary joists and cross members — supporting the grating flooring panels at appropriate spacing
  • Bar grating panels — stainless steel or GI, in standard and close-mesh patterns, swaged or pressure-locked
  • Chequer plate flooring — for applications requiring a solid floor surface rather than open grating
  • Stainless steel or galvanised handrail and guardrail — to UAE safety code height and loading requirements
  • Kick plates and toe boards — to prevent tools and objects from falling from elevated walkway surfaces
  • Access stairs and ladders — fabricated as part of the walkway system for level changes
  • Expansion joints — for long walkway runs to accommodate thermal movement
